L.P. Murray & Sons is a DEP-certified contractor in erosion control. This makes us an excellent candidate for shoreline stabilization projects. Our in-house rock quarry, located in Cape Elizabeth, offers us an advantage over our competition in the Greater Portland area. Due to our blasting capabilities, we also have the expertise and equipment to drill and pin large boulders, as required by some engineered seawall projects.
We’ve been in business for four generations and more than 72 years. Our family company was started in 1946 by Leland “Big Jim” Murray. Early on the company specialized in earth work and blasting services (one of only two companies doing so in Maine). The company built a reputation for hard work and honesty.
